They're only $219 at HeadRoom (www.headphone.com). And yeah, I suppose that's still a lot to pay, but considering most of the so-called DJ headphones I've bought over the years have been in the $120 - $150 range, it's not that much more for a marked improvement in sound quality. I have thought about how much booze that could buy, though, and it's a lot...
an amp and etys -- that's some serious audiophile stuff. are you going to play gigs with these earbuds?
I'm going to try, but I'm not sure that I can currently drive them hard enough. I mean, they're nice and loud when they're both in my ears, but that's because you can't hear shit else so you don't actually have to drive them hard. (By the way, I highly suggest not wearing these things in environments where you might possibly get run over by a car. You probably will.) So when you remove one earphone to listen to the master mix, I'm afraid I probably won't be able to hear cue. We'll see, though; maybe I can just turn everything up, or maybe I'll learn to mix in my headphones...
So we should all evaluate any purchase by the amount of beer we could buy instead. What a stupid thing so say...
You're new here. It's actually not that stupid if you know me at all - I'm somewhat notorious for drinking a lot among my friends.
holy shit, $330 for earbuds?! think of how much beer you could've bought with that!
