I heard Gift of Gab was coming out with a solo in 2004. if tru = tight. and i heard blackstar were gonna sign with roc-a-fella recs. if tru = $$$ for them

Yeah, Gab has a full-length in the pipe on Quannum Projects. "Just Because" is the B-side to the first single ("the Writz") from the album, and I think both sides are produced by Vitamin D from Seattle. Vitamin D himself has a 12" out on Rhymesayers that's pretty goddamn hot. I had never heard the car alarm locking sound used to such good effect until I heard "No Good."

Deep Rooted By Iomos Murad is indeed on of the most timely and timeless overground Hip Hop albums of the year. Reflecting all sides of Chicago Hip Hop. If you havent got....get it.
