prologue: turning the tables
The next installment of prologue is on Friday, 1 November 2002. It will be hosted once again at Fire Station #3, following a screening of film shorts curated by Microcinema International. We're asking for a $2 donation or alternatively, bring your own drinks.
Baby Cee and Cozmos of the Phonographerz crew will be doing a three turntable set, and they're bringing DJ Fast 4ward along with them. Leigh will be dropping a jungle set, and I'm going to do what I feel like doing that day. Which is to say, I don't know what. We're working for free, to create an enjoyable vibe for all of you.
I'm trying to throw parties that have a nice chilled-out vibe; the gallery space at FS3 helps provide this. Check out the art, listen to the music, hang out with your friends and meet some new ones. We're just out to have a good time, and get some sounds out to you that you probably haven't heard.
Anyway, it's our mission to bring together people to have a good time. I hope we can bring some music lovers out to the gallery who don't normally check out independent art, and I hope the gallery brings me some people who don't listen to the styles of music I'm into. Either way, it's good to keep your mind open and check out something new, no?
