OK, so I'm not very into some of the local supporting DJs at this event (those of you who know me know which ones I'm referring to) but the headliners for this event are pretty fucking crazy. Green Velvet aka Cajmere is one of the most leftfield house/tech-house/techno producer/DJs of the last twenty years. Helping shepherd in the rebirth of Chicago house with his Cajual and Relief record labels, the man has thrown down some of the most recognizable dancefloor tracks of all-time such as "Preacher Man" and "La La Land."

DJ Craze is one of the illest turntablists in the world. He won the DMC three consecutive years in a row, is a member of the Allies, and has released two solo scratch albums. He's also experimented with pushing the boundaries of what can really be done on the scratching and juggling front - taking hip-hop beats, flipping them double-time to jungle; taking jungle beats, and juggling them into 3/4 time, etc.

The Rapture are a post-punk nu-new-wave band from England; I'm not sure if the entire band is performing or if Matt Safer (the bassist) is throwing down a DJ set, or both.
