The Squishees (formerly the Slurpees) are one of the Houston area's best bands. Seriously. I don't know why these guys aren't more popular than they are; their live show is always really energetic and their particular brand of sonically unique punk stylings are catchy as all hell. Plus, I love the fact that their songs are about some completely banal and mundane things like Telemundo and snack machines.

I don't know much about Sharks and Sailors; my understanding is that they're a relatively new local group that arose out of the ashes of several other groups but Danny has recommended them in the past. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see Danny add some of his own commentary to this...

Bring Back The Guns (formerly Groceries, Gandhi in Vegas, and I think one other) are another Houston group. They also bring an energetic performance to the stage and generally rock out. This should be a pretty good show...
