This event features Baa'tin of Slum Village (which were one of the most slept-on hip-hop groups around) along with a ton of top-notch local talent. Supposedly (don't trust me on this, but it's what I heard through the grapevine) a portion of the proceeds are going to go to the J Dilla Lupus Awareness Foundation. J Dilla (aka Jay Dee, aka James Yancey) was a member of Slum Village as well as being one of the most sought after hip-hop producers of our time.
