City Scenes premiere by the Shepherd School Orchestra

@ Rice University

The Shepherd School Orchestra of Rice University will be premiering a work by one of the faculty, Karim Al-Zand. It is entitled City Scenes, and is 'three urban dances for orchestra.' I'm pretty sure there won't actually be any dancers, though. Also on the program are "The Sorceror's Apprentice" by Paul Dukas and Rachmaninoff's "Symphonic Dances." The concert will be held in the Stude Concert Hall in Alice Pratt Brown Hall at 8:00pm.
