Helvetica

@ Aurora Picture Show

The documentary Helvetica will be screened at the Aurora Picture Show, with a social beforehand. It might sound stupid to have a movie about a font, but I believe it also incorporates and discusses the history of graphic design leading up to the creation of the font, and the impact of Helvetica on the design world after its creation. I've been wanting to see this movie since I first heard about it premiering at SXSW, but it's looking like the price of admission is a little high so I might wait until it comes out on DVD. There will be a social before hand; this event is coordinated by the Houston chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts.
