I had heard quite a bit about the 1-Bit Music project when it first debuted; essentially Mr. Perich has programmed and built miniature devices into CD jewel cases that synthesize glitchy electronic music through a headphone jack when headphones are plugged in, thus recontextualizing the nature of our interaction with music in today's digital age where a device half the size can carry 10,000 times more music. Apparently the live show consists of him backing the electronic music with live drumming.

Also appearing will be the classic New Orleans duo of Quintron and Miss Pussycat (somewhere along the way, Quintron dropped the Mr.) who always bring a lot of energy and fun to their shows. These two are KTRU favorites, don't miss out.
