Yo La Tengo

@ Warehouse Live

I have been a fan for years, but I have never managed to see Yo La Tengo live. This trio has been pushing the sensibilities of indie pop music for over a decade, and while they sometimes go a little far out on the fringe, somehow they always manage to bring it back to basics and craft some tidy little pop gems. Their newest album, "I Am Not Afraid Of You And I Will Beat Your Ass", goes both ways - there are certainly a couple of experimental tracks, but "Mr. Tough" is one of the catchiest pop tunes I've heard in years.
