This should be quite a show - Melt Banana are one of the pioneers of the Japanese noise rock movement and easily one of the tightest bands I've ever seen. They are also one of the fastest and loudest, rivaling some metal bands in tempo and volume. Opening for them will be XBXRX and The Jonx. The Jonx are easily one of my favorite local bands, and that's not just because I'm friends with them. They play a brand of dissonant rock, often laden with intricate rhythmic patterns put forth by the drummer, Danny Mee, that has gotten them favorable press from most of the local media outlets.
