Fuck. I can't believe I'm going to miss Negativland. They'll be performing in Herring Hall at Rice University at 8 pm. Negativland is one of the all-time great culture-jamming artists. They're probably most famous for their U2 single, but my favorite is the Dispepsi album in which they suggest to either of the major cola companies the following idea: since you've probably already reached market saturation, consider running ads only every other month - they would save 50% on their marketing budget with probably minimal effect on market share.
